Late Jaidayal Singhania was born in 1913 and brought up in Lailunga, Village of Raigarh District. He was a self-made businessman who led the expansion of agricultural farming in the family. He was also engaged in the business of forest produce, biri leaves and food grains. Jai Dayal Singhania believed in achieving the best in his life. During his lifetime, he dedicated a lot of his time to charitable endeavors. He was often found sitting on a cot surrounded by a mass of the local public, listening to their problems, and resolving them in the best possible manner without ever saying no to anyone. He earned the title of ‘Chacha’ of the Village, and gradually became known by this name. Shri Jai Dayal Singhania had a magnetic personality who inspired everyone with his zeal for life. He was supported by his wife Smt. Mahadevi Singhania in all his philanthropic endeavors throughout his life. He died on 30.06.1980 at the age of 68.
In the memory of Jai Dayal Singhania and his philosophy of giving back, we have established a foundation in the name and style of “Jai Dayal Singhania Foundation”. A Company u/s. 08 of the Companies Act 2013, to support the people in need on his karma bhumi of Village Lailunga. The aim of the foundation is to begin with providing scholarships/aid to deserving students, supporting medical treatment of people in need, and refurbishment and revival of Government schools in Lailunga Village and more. We will not differentiate anyone based on any caste or gender. We have started this foundation to keep the memory of Late Jai Dayal Singhania alive. We will do our work in Lailunga Village first, then in the entire District of Raigarh and later expand to other areas of the entire state.

Born in Lailunga, Narayan Singhania was the second eldest son of the late Jai Dayal Singhania. With a degree in commerce and an LLB under his belt, Narayan had a profound passion for education. His dedication led him to become actively involved with Saraswati Shishu Mandir and various social organizations.
Tragically, Narayan Singhania passed away suddenly on February 10th, 2024, due to a heart failure, despite being in excellent physical condition. In memory of his legacy, the Foundation has established the Narayan Singhania Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship program aims to support deserving students from Lailunga District in pursuing higher education.
Named in honor of Narayan Singhania, the scholarship seeks to uplift and empower the youth of our community. Through this annual initiative, we strive to commemorate Narayan's commitment to education and his contributions to society.
